My van, which has just over 269,000 miles on it, started making a terrible grinding noise when I put on the breaks. I thought, I don&#8217;t care, bad breaks aren&#8217;t going to stop me! But seriously, there are car repairs you can put off and car repairs you can&#8217;t put off. Brakes are in the latter category.
