This is trillium and someone more in the know than I am could probably tell you which one. I&#8217;ll guess <em>Trillium cuneatum<\/em>, &#x201c;the largest and most vigorous of the sessile trilliums that are native to the eastern U. S.&#x201d; but I stress, that&#8217;s just a guess without much research behind it. Whichever it is, it&#8217;s a pretty little plant that should be in any woodland garden in our region.
