They often thrive in out local conditions. It&#8217;s somewhat related to the emphasis on so-called organics (as opposed to synthetics), thinking that they are inherently better and safer. Nevertheless, some natives can easily become weeds. Blue-eyed grass (<em>Sisyrinchium angustifolium<\/em>) is a case in point. It&#8217;s actually lovely and in its place, worth growing.
