The black-eyed Susans are summer flowers and are just finishing up. There are still quite a few of them blooming but not nearly so many as there were. The autumn clematis (<em>Clematis terniflora<\/em>) is just about in full bloom, as is the blue mistflower (<em>Conoclinium coelestinum<\/em>). The blackberry lily (<em>Iris domestica<\/em>), which blooms in early summer, is nearly in seed.
