I took my new, long lens but only took a handful of shots with it. I got a nice closeup view of the eagles&#8217; nest but we didn&#8217;t see any of the eagles. We did hear one call a few times from a distance, somewhere other than in the nest. I got this photo of a northern cardinal (<em>Cardinalis cardinalis<\/em>), and that&#8217;s basically the best I could do.
