Normally we would have had some sort of retirement get together near that date, but the Rockville buildings were scheduled to close on the 19th and the cafe a few days earlier than that. The new building in Bethesda wasn&#8217;t going to be accessible until December 1. So we scheduled her farewell party on the twelfth. She didn&#8217;t think a lot of folks would come but was pleasantly surprised and had more than I did two months ago. Part of that is that so many of the folks I work with are remote and scattered across the country.
