Like yesterday&#8217;s outing to McKee-Beshers, we weren&#8217;t there at the best time of day to see birds, but we did hear quite a few in the meadows at the north end of the property. We saw a few of those that we heard and I photographed a few of those we saw. What that boils down to is that I got a few pictures of one bird, this eastern bluebird (<em>Sialia sialis<\/em>). In the woods we didn&#8217;t even hear many birds. Towards the end of our walk we did see a hairy woodpecker (<em>Leuconotopicus villosus<\/em>) but it was pretty dark where we were so the pictures I got of that are not very good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cathy and I went to Rachel Carson Conservation Park on Zion Road this afternoon.
