Now they are almost completely red. I&#8217;d say this tree is ahead of most in the area, but it&#8217;s quite lovely, particularly in the afternoon light. When I got home today it was nice to look out back and have the evening sun shining through the red leaves, turning them a shade brighter. It is somewhat difficult to capture, though, because the dynamic range of our cameras aren&#8217;t nearly broad enough for the brightness of the sun back-lighting the leaves.
