Cathy and I took another walk in the woods today, as we like to do. We drove to the Kengla House on Muncaster Mill Road and walked on the Kengla Trail as far as where the creek (the North Branch of Rock Creek) goes under MD 200 (the Inter-county Connector). A bridge has been built across the stream since we were there last and we took that and then followed the North Branch Trail. The most interesting thing was say, but of which I didn’t get a photo, was a northern ring-necked snake (Diadophis punctatus edwardsii). We did see, and I did photograph, this abandoned car, that’s been decorated with stickers and a plastic skeleton.
